Another example of horrible client service in Web maintenance to pile onto yesterday’s post:
This time I was speaking to someone about a rebuild project that they sent overseas, in simple terms the outsourced team was to rebuild a form. They did rebuild it but then told the client that to make the form actually save edited information it would take 60+ more hours of work on top of the already agreed upon amount. However, this obvious rip off scam became interesting when she got her ‘more technically inclined’ (male) boss on Skype to ask questions – the task suddenly plummeted to only a few hours of remaining work. Finding good developers is tough everywhere but its folks like this that make our job so much harder.
